What's for Lunch?

Cold Spring Harbor CSD – School Lunch Information

We are pleased to announce that ALL students will have access to a free lunch each day. Please note that second entrées and à la carte items are available daily for an additional cost.

Ordering Information – Elementary Students

  • Meals must be pre-ordered online at mealorders.com.
  • Parents can pre-order meals up to a month in advance.
  • Student accounts are only charged once a meal is picked up. If a student is absent or does not take a pre-ordered second entrée or à la carte item, no charge will be applied.
  • If your child is absent, there is no need to cancel the order.
  • Please remember to update your child’s homeroom assignment for the new school year when setting up the account. Homeroom information is found in eSD.

What’s Included in a School Lunch?

Each day, students may choose a hot meal or one of the daily alternates:

  • Pizza
  • Bagel (served with yogurt or a cheese stick)
  • Toasted cheese sandwich

Every meal also includes:

  • A vegetable or grain option (examples: salad cup, carrots, cucumbers, etc.)
  • Fresh fruit or fruit cup
  • 100% fruit juice (apple, orange, or fruit punch)
  • Milk (skim, 1% white, or 1% chocolate)

À la Carte Options (Additional Cost)

  • Yogurt
  • Cheese stick
  • Bottled water
  • Assorted snacks ($1.00–$1.50)

All snacks meet USDA “Smart Snacks in School” nutritional guidelines.
