International Night
Always delicious, Always entertaining, Always a success!
International nights at the Jr./Sr. High School are synonymous to a day at Epcot! In its 9th year, it NEVER disappoints as students celebrated once again the night of March 2 taking pride in their heritage showcasing their talents and diverse cultures from around the world. International Club advisor, Merritt Monck-Rowley, and senior club officers: President, Madison Porcelain, Secretary, Cleo Dallaris, and member, Bennett Vitagliano, orchestrated this amazing event with cultural exhibits, food stations, Martial Arts demonstrations with teacher April Henry and a guest appearance by Assistant Principal Kevin Bernier, who both surprised the crowd with their wood splitting skills. Students loved the photo booth with Ms. Oswald and stood in long lines for henna tattoos, bracelet making and wheel of fortune spins with former teacher, Chris Homer who was thrilled to return! There were student musical performances, along with a student and staff led rendition of traditional Greek dance and the Greek National Anthem (led once again by Pete Stavros and Myra Georgiou). Most impressive of all, thanks to the parent and student chefs, were the endless assortments of international cuisine. There was a crepe and waffle station from France, German, Polish, Italian, Croatian and Colombian delights, Greek Pastitsio and Baklava, a Japanese sushi station, and so much more! Both cafeterias were lined with food stations from around the world. Many thanks to the behind the scenes help from Ms. Koundi and Ms. Georgiou. So, if you missed it this year, come next year, and come hungry! Thank you for an amazing community night of entertainment, education and fun.
