Happy 100 Day!
Goosehill is always bustling with excitement on the100th Day of school! Kindergarteners can barely contain their excitement to sing songs that they have practiced for weeks with music teacher, Daniel Santangelo; what a show they put on! Parents and families were invited to join in on the fun at the morning assembly and then visited classrooms afterward for a special math activity. First graders also joined in on the fun for a morning parade of fashion showing off their homemade 100 Day tee-shirts…Adorable!
At the assembly, Ms. Cosme also reminded parents of the beloved poem by Robert Fulghum, “All I Really Need to Know I Learned In Kindergarten.” This beautiful wisdom surprisingly stands the test of time:
Share Everything.
Play Fair.
Don’t hit people.
Put things back where you found them.
Clean up your own mess.
Don’t take things that aren’t yours.
Say you’re sorry when you hurt somebody.
Wash your hands before you eat.
Flush.
Warm cookies and cold Milk are good for you.
Live a balanced life – learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some.
Take a nap every afternoon
When you go out into the world, watch out for traffic, hold hands, and stick together.
Be aware of wonder.
