First grade students were so excited to “Light Up their Circuits” in the Creative Learning Lab with Library Media Specialist, Marissa Urso. Gathered around tables to engineer their very own “light up greeting card” by building their own circuit, the students were wide-eyed at the wonder of their creations! They learned LED stands for Light Emitting Diodes that glow when powered, and they watched their LED stickers do just that! Most made a Valentine card, others rendered creative designs, and kids and parents alike were fascinated in this mini-challenge of designing their very own STEAM activity!
