Lloyd Harbor 5th graders worked hard on their hand-made no-sew blankets. Instead of a Valentine's Day craft, they became blanketeers for "Project Linus" - a national non-profit organization that provides security, warmth and comfort by donating a new blanket to children with long-term illnesses. Ms. Conroy shared, "It’s a great way for kids to help kids while embracing our SEL work and HIKER initiative at the same time." (The acronym HIKER stands for: Honesty, Inclusiveness, Kindness, Empathy, and Respect.) Beautiful job 5th grade!
