JUMP ROPE FOR HEART - West Side

Jump Rope for Heart Fundraiser is always a fun challenge at West Side. During the unit on heart health, students learned different ways to jump rope, benefits of jump roping and ways to be heart healthy. All donations went to the American Heart Association, which aides in the fight against heart disease and strokes. At a school assembly on February 14th, one representative from each class participated in the “Who can jump rope the longest” contest, which was awarded to Sutton Stella (grade 6) with a jump time of 3.45 minutes! Thank you to Physical Education teacher, Mr. Steven Forbes, for such an exciting morning assembly. The students raised $4,446 – WOW!
