Board Member Retires
Mr. Mark McAteer
At the March Board of Education meeting, Mr. Mark McAteer announced his plans to retire at the close of this school year. Mr. McAteer has served on the Board for six years beginning in 2014. He has been a member of the community since 2001, where he lives with his wife Tina, and children Erin (class of 2019), and Shane (class of 2021). He shared, “It has been my pleasure to serve the community in this challenging but gratifying role. It always felt that there was an important topic to work on that could affect the children, the parents, or the community at large. I would encourage my neighbors to consider how they can volunteer and contribute to this exceptional district.” The administration and district community remain grateful for Mr. McAteer’s tireless commitment and dedication to the students of CSH, to whom he always put first with great care and concern. Board of Education President, Anthony Paolano, extended his gratitude, “Mark has been a great asset to the Board. All of his decisions were made to enhance CHS school district to become the best in all areas of academics, arts and athletics. He supported and understood the importance of only the second bond issue in our history. Mark’s vision for our school district will have a positive impact on our current and future students. I am grateful for Mark’s time on the Board and I will remember his integrity and values in my future decisions.” Thank you Mr. McAteer, you will be missed!
