Students in 10th grade Regents English classes collaborated to create raps and poems as a culminating project for their nonfiction book clubs. An interesting twist on some top choices shared! Some of the books included: Miracle in the Andes, The Outliers, Adrift, and The Nazi Officer's Wife. The students enjoyed working in the library and getting out of the classroom. Many commented on how fun the unit was and that doing “book club” meetings was a great way to share and listen and start the conversation.
