French Club Visits Quebec!
Members of the French Club along with Madame Koob, Monsieur Montanaro, and Señora Monck-Rowley traveled to “La belle province” for a 3-night 4-day cultural adventure where they got a test of “La culture québéquoise”. This year, the favorite highlights were a ride on “La grande roue de Montréal”, a huge ferris wheel that provides panoramic views of the entire city, a cultural scavenger hunt in the streets of Old Montréal, and taking in the spectacular views from the top of Mount Royal Park. Students had a blast at “Montréal en lumière”, an outdoor winter festival and enjoyed a special dinner at a sugar shack which ended with “Tire sur la neige”, maple sugar taffy. They had a special tour of the beautiful Notre Dame Basilica which has 7,000 thousand pipes. The members of the French club also spent a day in Québec City where they walked across a suspension bridge at la Chute-Montmorency, a waterfall nearly 100 meters taller than Niagara Falls. In Québec City, they enjoyed ice skating and an exhilarating ride down Les Glissades de la Terrasse, an icey toboggan slide located just outside the iconic Chateau Frontenac. Students made memories to last a lifetime!
