WOW!!! Determination and perseverance paid off for the CSH CyberHawk team 2875 at the Long Island Regional 1 Competition from March 20-22. This international competition hosted over 48 teams from New York, Chinese Taipei, India, Turkey, the Dominican Republic, and the United Kingdom! The CyberHawks progressed through to the final match undefeated. They won the first of three matches by a heart pounding single point! Robotics Advisor, Jim Hardy shared, “The excitement was off the charts! In the second match, one of their alliance robots was hit during a maneuver, causing it to flip onto its side resulting in a loss. This led to a final match which would determine the champion. The match came up on the CyberHawk‘s side by a single point!” Congratulations to the CSH Cyberhawks who won the 2023 Long Island Regional 1 Championship! The team has been invited to Houston, Texas for the 2023 FIRST Championship They were also honored by Zebra Technologies who is covering the cost of the championship fee and they will also be sponsoring the CyberHawks for the 2024 season!

They are currently competing in the second regional event at Hofstra, hoping to improve their robot as they prepare for Texas. Congratulations to the entire team and advisor Jim Hardy, along with team mentors Stephen Jay and Doon Nordeman. This team has worked tirelessly after school, nights and weekends since the kick-off in January. Bravo CyberHawks!
