Green Light A Vet

What does it mean to Green Light a Vet? Have you ever noticed homes, buildings or bridges displaying green lights glowing in the evenings…why green you might ask? Just ask these Lloyd Harbor students! The national movement of Operation Green Light for Veterans shines a light of support and hope for those that served our country. This recognition is something you may see more during the Veteran’s Day holiday, but it is actually a movement displayed any time of year in an effort to unite counties to support military veterans and raise awareness to the many challenges veterans face and the resources available to assist and support. This simple gesture of shining a green light creates a beacon and visual symbol to let our veterans know that they are seen, appreciated and supported. Thank you to Lloyd Harbor student council and all the community members for shining your Green Light for a Vet!
