#CSH Unites for World Art Day in April!

Cold Spring Harbor Central School District continues its monthly collaboration amongst all the schools. For April, the theme was “Art in Our Schools Month.” Thank you to all the schools for participating, especially by recognizing that April 15 was “World Art Day.” Nationwide, this is a day to celebrate the arts and appreciate their importance in our lives. It is a day to come together and appreciate the beauty of art in all its forms. Whether you are an artist or just a fan of art, World Art Day was a day for everyone, and students and their families were encouraged to enjoy art together to celebrate World Art Day! Thank you to Art Department Chair, Christine Oswald, for spearheading this month’s collaboration of talent through collage using bottle caps in all the schools. Beautiful creations (which continue to be a work in progress throughout April) remain open for creation and imagination. It was a wonderful use of recyclable materials, and we thank our students, their families and staff members for collecting and recycling your bottle caps for art sake!
