Cold Spring Harbor Jr./Sr. High School Welcomes New Assistant Principal, Michelle Lempenski

The Cold Spring Harbor School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Michelle Lempenski as the new Assistant Principal of Cold Spring Harbor Jr./Sr. High School. Ms. Lempenski brings a wealth of experience and a strong educational background to her new role, having dedicated over 15 years to academic excellence and student success in her previous roles.

Ms. Lempenski holds an Advanced Certificate in School Building/District Leadership from Long Island University and a Master's Degree in Adolescence Special Education from Saint Joseph's College. She is certified in Mathematics for grades 7-12 and holds a New York State Certification in School Building Leadership. Her expertise in mathematics and her passion for student engagement have been key to her success as both a teacher and leader.

For over a decade, Ms. Lempenski has worked at North Shore High School, where she took on many roles, including AP/IB Coordinator and Mathematics Teacher. In these capacities, she has coordinated testing schedules, organized special education support, mentored new teachers, and fostered strong relationships with students and families to ensure their success in advanced programs. 

In addition to her academic and administrative qualifications, Ms. Lempenski has served as the Camp Director for the Lloyd Neck Bath Club for over two decades, demonstrating her leadership, organizational skills, and ability to create positive, impactful experiences for children and young adults. 

Superintendent of Schools Mr. Joseph Monastero expressed great enthusiasm for Ms. Lempenski's appointment, stating, "We are thrilled to welcome Michelle Lempenski to the Cold Spring Harbor family. Her dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for students and her track record of leadership will be invaluable to our school community."

Ms. Lempenski's focus on student achievement, staff collaboration, and community engagement aligns perfectly with the district's vision for the future. She is eager to bring her passion for education and leadership to her new role at Cold Spring Harbor Jr./Sr. High School.
