Thank you to all that participated in this year’s Little Apple Fun Run! It was a beautiful day for our school and community. Held on June 19, the Fun Run not only hosted a 1-mile race for participants of all ages but added some new surprises! The students loved the DJ, photo booth, custom donuts, face painters, and a dunk tank featuring Mr. Chiarello and Mr. Monastero who were more than willing to take the plunge to the students’ delight! Everyone was treated to a special trainer-led warm up at the flagpole just prior to the start. The apple & lion mascots were standing by cheering on the runners, who all enjoyed coming out as families, be it onlookers or participants, cheering for each other through the finish line and at the awards ceremony. Thank you to the LHSPTG for putting this fabulous event together, especially event coordinators Dori O’Brien and Angela Weber for their hard work, dedication and enthusiasm - you made it look effortless! Thank you also to the Lloyd Harbor school staff, all the volunteers, local sponsors, custodial staff and grounds crew - you are amazing! Thank you to Ms. Massimo and Mr. Chiarello for supporting the Fun Run every step of the way! Congratulations to all the runners, we look forward to seeing you again next year!
