Junior and senior high Spanish students were invited to attend a Latin Salsa Dance event, hosted by Ballroom of Huntington and sponsored by the Cultural Arts Committee (CAC). Instructor Charlie Wood was joined by alum Brittany Debenedictis – class of 2014! The morning assembly in the new gym celebrated the rich traditions of Latin dance showcasing a variety of styles including salsa, merengue, tango and bachata. The rhythmic music and energetic flair proved to be entertaining and fun, challenging the students to let lose and explore these cultural movements on the dance floor. Even teachers Kristen Wilkens and Maria Segura joined in on the fun, showing off their salsa skills with their students.
