The North Shore Land Alliance is a nationally accredited land trust and 501(c)(3) that preserves and protects open space on the North Shore of Long Island which ultimately improves the quality of life for all Long Islanders. 

The Land Alliance partners with the Cold Spring Harbor School District – specifically West Side and Lloyd Harbor 6^th Grade classes – by providing water education programs.  The Land Alliance also recently acquired two environmentally important lands in Cold Spring Harbor – the Exxon/Mobil site at 95 Shore Road and the DeForest Williams Property which is now the Wawapek preserve and spans from Shore Road up to Mowbray Lane in Cold Spring Harbor.
