Speech-Language Pathologists in the school setting  work with students to develop and improve their communication skills.    For students whose speech or language disorder is impacting their academic performance, Speech-Language Pathologists provide a variety of prevention and intervention services  that promote effective classroom learning and teaching.  In collaboration with other  school  professionals, they  help ensure that children have an opportunity to become effective communicators.
