Jr./Sr. High School: On May 30 the Art Department transformed the New Gym into a gallery showcase of interactive art booths including mural painting, sketch booking, Lego murals, canvas tote designs and more. Everyone tested their talents and creative genius, with both students and guests trying their hands at drawing, Lippan tiles, collage, chalk and charcoal design. The night kicked off with the annual Fashion Show with fashion design challenges that included; Jeans & tee shirts, Nature, the Little Black Dress, Icons and the MET Gala. Each design student dressed their models who walked the runway, with each segment highlighted by iconic music videos and ads from each era. Kudos to the fashion designers and their models along with fashion design teacher Laura Cirino for a fabulous show! District Art Chairperson, Christine Oswald, extended her thanks to everyone who participated in the event, the entire District Art Department, the tech team, and the support of families, faculty, staff, administration and the Cultural Arts Committee. Ms. Oswald shared, “The Night of the Living Museum is an evening which showcases the hard work students put into their art, with a unique opportunity for students to continue to learn and grow as artists. Each art station was carefully planned and gives students and art faculty an opportunity to tailor a lesson to fit into the evening with a high rate of success for learning. The evening was designed for students to interact with their parents in a creative setting. Thank you to everyone for making it such a huge success!” Thank you to all, for another fabulous event!
