On the evening of April 15, a Career Fair was held at the Jr./Sr. High School in the NEST and surrounding classrooms. It was spearheaded by student Nicole Schrock (grade 11), as part of a Girl Scout Project initiative. The evening was open to all, but it was most appropriate for grades 7-12. Students lined up to register for various sessions, and it was a fantastic turnout. There were many sessions to listen and learn from, including finance, becoming a lawyer or doctor, making it on Broadway, being an entrepreneur, pharmacist or engineer among many others!
School Counselor, Jennifer Herold, shared, “The project was completely Nicole’s! I was asked to act as her “faculty assistant” to make sure that the night runs smoothly. I ran many career fairs at my prior school district and I was thrilled to be approached to help Nicole. She organized a great line up of presenters, which served as a great educational experience as well as a great networking opportunity.” Thank you to all of our presenters and all the students that came out to support the Career Fair!
